Hi let me introduce myself, I'm Erin, the woman behind eleven17.

I grew up around the ocean in Devon, spending hours playing on the beach and in the water. The ocean has been such a large part of my life and has defined me as a person and it is the inspiration behind the jewellery I make. From a young age I collected seaglass with my family looking for 'mermaids tears' along the shores close to home.

I have always been interested in jewellery. Collecting pieces throughout my life from which some have become and extension to my body, that I would feel lost without wearing.

 

The idea of making something so special, that memories are attached to was something I was really drawn to doing.

 

Everything fell into place at the start of 2020, after teaching myself wire wrapped and cord jewellery I decided to take a short course in silversmithing. This was eye opening for me and the start of a dream becoming a reality.
